My Town 004

With the blooming season of the jacarandas almost over I figure I should get this opportunity in. You can see these trees leave so much debris beneath them, a reason that some people don't like them, despite their beauty. It pops on black.
How beautiful! Well worth putting up with the mess!

Nice capture! I have all that Jacaranda debris on my front walk-way. I do love these trees when they're in bloom.

Oh .. forgot to add .. my grands ... (girls) love the purple / lavender flowers :)

I love the Jacarandas. Not too many in Turlock. Their scent is divine!

One my my favourite trees which grow in abundance here. Beautifully captured, including the mess ;-)

Oh so beautiful, can't wait till jacaranda time.

Beautiful colours, light and shadows Ron:)

They are beautiful, evidently a tropical tree, we don’t have them in North Texas.

I personally think the mess looks nice as well. Those trees makes the scenery so pretty. Beautiful taken shot.

Great slice of life shot with the added beauty of the jacaranda.

Very nice

Beautiful tree .....don’t think I’ve ever seen one in bloom. Don’t see them in New England
June 22nd, 2020
That's the problem with flowering trees but, it seems worth it to me. Nice shot.

One of the most beautiful trees -- love the purples and the quiet tranquil look of town.

@pamknowler Thanks, Pam. That's my opinion too. And therefore, I have two of them in my yard!

@redy4et Thanks Elizabeth. Sounds like you're willing to put up with the mess. Worth it to me too.

@jin1x Thank you kindly, Miss Sunkist. Always enjoy hearing from you. And I'm pleased the young ladies like them!
June 23rd, 2020
@joysfocus Thanks Joy. Yeah, I think there are only certain regions where they thrive. I'm just happy mine is one of them.
June 23rd, 2020
@ludwigsdiana Thanks Diane. I believe that's a first time I've been praised for capturing a mess. :-)
June 23rd, 2020
@koalagardens Thanks so much. I don't think they make quite as tasty an offering for the koalas as the gum trees! Good thing!
June 23rd, 2020
@onewing Thanks Babs. I hope you'll treat us to some shots during the coming season there.

@pcoulson Thanks, Peter. Interesting that you mention the shadow. I struggled a little with that, feeling it was a bit too dark. I tried to lighten the shadows, but it ended up messing things up, so I went back to the original state - and then talked myself into accepting it as is....and ending up liking it! Thanks for the feedback.

@louannwarren Thanks Lou Ann. Yeah, I don't think they'd stand up too well to the extremes of your area. Actually for much of the year they look kind of straggly, but in springtime they're hard to beat.

@dutchothotmailcom Thanks Esther. I admire your ability to also find beauty in a mess. ;-)
June 23rd, 2020
@gardencat Thanks Joanne. I appreciate that you didn't stop at just the tree!
June 23rd, 2020
@bkbinthecity Thanks very much, Brian. Glad you liked.
June 23rd, 2020
@mjmaven Thanks so much, Shirley. Yes, they're a rather fragile tree, and I don't think they'd stand up real well to the harsh winters in New England. Glad that you stopped by to look and comment.

@markkoso65 Thanks, Mark. I think it's unanimous. All seem to agree that they're OK with dealing with the mess as long as they give us something pretty to look at.
June 23rd, 2020
@taffy Thanks, Taffy. It's quite the contrast to your landscape I guess. That's what makes 365 great to me.
