View from the Loggia

Visited Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, today. There are acres of splendid gardens and grounds, including a loggia with a fountain. This shot was taken looking out from the loggia across the lake. The piece of statue that you can see in the foreground is a fountain and I have put a photo of it in my other album.

A beautiful framed image which I recognise immediately having spent a couple of glorious summer evenings watching plays performed on the loggia at Hever. Thank you for sharing this image

@judithdeacon It is a really special place. I like to think about Anne Boleyn walking in the places that I walk!

@suesouthwood I am less than an hour away but the other side of the dreaded Crossing! Often visit Kent, so many lovely places there. Chartwell is one of my favourites but also Ightham Mote and Hever Castle is lovely. I just have to take the proverbial deep breath before braving The Crossing!

@casablanca I recently joined the RHS, so have good access to places like Hever and Penshurst, and we have a huge number of NT properties as you know, so I am lucky enough to have lots of photo opportunities. Might see you at one of them one day!!
