browsing briefly through my shots from last monday when nova @nova joined louise @Weezilou and me photo trekking for the day, i found this shot i took of the lunenburg academy of musical performance from across the street. i intended to use this for the hallowe'en but in looking through the fay godwin's landscapes shots, this reminded me of her photo "Mount Zion Baptist Chapel, Yorkshire, 1977". see http://www.faygodwin.com/landmarks/im06/index.html it's the fifth frame of landscapes images 5.
for the current artist challenge featuring australian photographer fay godwin.
How wonderful is that! Did you have the image of fay's in mind when you photographed this? WHich came first? The comparison is terrific! Of course I love the way you saw this setting as well!
@Weezilou - the photograph came first. i was going to make this into a hallow e'en card or wallpaper. the discovery that it looks similar to godwin's photo came much later. you're having some much needed downtime? are you relaxed yet? i'll be making the candied pecans tomorrow, i'll let you know how it turns out. ♥♥♥ thanks for visiting me.
much needed down time??? I'm cross-eyed and it's not midnight yet! Writing people with prompts for their text is hugely more time consuming than I would have expected...I can't wait to hear how anyone else is doing! This is a JOB! It's cool and all, but there's pressure to wind this up by the 6th of Sept. We've got friends in town at present & two more sets of house guests before the wedding in another week! That's 3 days away...and then there's the packing! I'd sleep on the plane, but I love to take pictures from the window!
egad!
