i had wanted some real-deal scones for my project tonight. but alas! i can't find them anywhere. so i had to make do with some wanna-be scones like the blueberry scone and cranberry/white chocolate scone i got at a coffee shop near the office.
but the coup today were these mini-cupcakes by 'prairie girl bakery' which makes just cupcakes. and i was told they are to die for which must be true because when i came to their shop at lunch there was a winding line up to get to the store. wow! their prices are also reasonable. i opted for the red velvet with cream cheese topping. the other kind is lemon cupcake with chocolate topping.
they are not to die for cupcakes, they are a must-have-one-right-now cupcakes. very light and fluffy and amazingly, they are not too sweet. and they made the tea go down so easy.
Well at least you got some wonderful cupcakes. I probably would have taken a picture of the line up and then left without getting any. I usually have no patience for long line ups
@bkbinthecity - thank you, brian. i went to have my lunch then came back which by then there was only one customer at the counter. otherwise i wouldn't have waited. no cupcake is worth any long line up. :-)
uaaaah - I want one!!
Looks so yummy - and if I gain more weight YOU will be the blame for making me think about sweets. Actually I would think about it without your help but I don't want to have to be responsible for my own actions and prefer to blame someone else - in this case you.
I see the D for dee-licious there! Yum- this picture looks to appetizing. Thank goodness there are no cookies in the house and not enough butter to make them.
@myhrhelper - i went back there today, and got my accounting and mail room girls some red velvet cupcakes. of course, i treated myself to a carrot cake cupcake but i haven't eaten it because my italian friend made me a big container of tiramisu and it is to die for! if you were here, you'd have loved it! :-) and sure, you can blame me anytime if that makes you feel better. hehehe. thank you, KB.
@olivetreeann - good eye, my friend. that's partner's monogramed china. i still have 3 of the mini cupcakes, a large regular cupcake, some banana cake and a big container of tiramisu. i have to double my exercise counts! thank you, ann.
@catsmeowb - i'm not a fan of cupcakes, but these ones are excellent. i haven't used the canon much except for simple shots like this. one thing is for sure: much different than the nikon and i find myself pressing buttons i shouldn't thinking i'm holding the nikon. but believe it or not, i'm reading the manual! :-) thank you, camille. how's the back?
@bmnorthernlight@quietpurplehaze - not cruelty at all. these are very small cupcakes and scones, without the topping you can just pop one in your mouth. so, it's not cruelty....torture maybe. :-D thank you, ladies. i love being around you.

Yes,I agree with you!
Now I have to get out the dictionary and see if 'torture' is a synonym for 'cruelty'???!!! (And what's all this - 'without the topping' lark!!!)
