for the etsooi challenge that's going on somewhere around here.
that giant calla lily from monday is probably the most abused flower tonight. sprayed with water so many times, i think the poor flower has drowned. and then to get this effect, it was etsooi'd to death. i tried ann's @olivetreeann technique to convert it to black and white then re-paint its colour back. played around with the exposure so many times i forgot how many - @northy, i can empathize with you now :-P then back to black and white, hand tinted it to get to this colour, then another stint with the exposure. oh, i almost forgot, most of the black background was cloned in as the angle i took caught the ceiling and the refrigerator along with the pepper shaker. :-D
wow! that was tiring. i think i need another mini-cinnabon!
wait a minute! does that still look like a calla lily to you? :-)
thank you for your kind visits and comments; i appreciate them greatly.
@maggiemae - you know a dictation machine is now obsolete i wouldn't know where to get it. :-) although i think i have one in my storage but it probably wouldn't work anymore. i don't even know if anyone still sells those little magnetic tapes to record. 'very artistic' i like that, thank, you, maggiemae; it's kinda stretching it, but i like it.
fav'd for the sheer amount of energy it took to make this look anything but what my processing efforts came up with! It's gorgeous in an art deco meets the neon 21st century way!
I love that purple - so vibrant and yes it still looks like a calla lily. That droplet right at the tip makes me want to zoom in. Great editing, wouldn't know how to do what you did especially with the background.

looks fabulous!
At first I thought it was a smoke shot, from the thumbnail, but it looks like a lily in the big view :)
