i do not believe in war and very grateful that i never had to live one and ever so hopeful i would not have to experience it. but war is a reality for a number of people, not only for those whose countries are in conflict, whether with itself or another, but also for those who choose to fight in wars, and who willingly gave their lives so that freedom may be had by all.
grateful, too, to those at home who selflessly give their time and endanger their lives so that we may live in peace - the police, the firefighters, the medical and emergency people; and, those who volunteer their time and services to help the less fortunate in our societies. thank you.
thank you, dear friends, for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
p.s.: happy thanksgiving to all of my american friends and those who observe thanksgiving today.
I like the subject of this which seems especially appropriate today as so many families from our country and (l am sure others as well) are separated by war of one kind or another.
Thanks for the Thanksgiving wishes! Hope you had a nice weekend with Wahoo and "Katy" your guest. How did you make this shot? and I cannot imagine what the people who defend us all go through in their lives. Such a huge sacrifice.
