my get pushed partner this week, @warrenzx9 challenged me to "interpret under construction".
the big construction that has pestered the landscape of the city of toronto is almost over. and that is in anticipation of the business that the pan-am games, being held here in july this year, will generate for the city. i don't know how this little corner in downtown toronto would fare then during the games as this is a new construction. they had been digging this since spring last summer and they are still digging.
i love taking photos of construction sites, specificaly the big giant machinery the lifts tons of weights of materials, like this machine here. and all being controlled by just one person in that little car and he's way up in the air, at least 12 storeys.
for the flash of red challenge this week, we are studying lighting. this was taken this morning with the morning sun already in full force, almost as bright as noon. i made of mistake yet again of not checking my settings so this shot was actually way blown out. but now that i've discovered it is much easier to process from raw, i had no problem extracting out the details in this shot and correcting the overblown highlights.
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
and thank you, all you wonderful people, for all your favs on my red owl posting. you guys are awesome!
@warrenzx9 - hi, warren. does this fit your challenge? i took your challenge literally as the construction is taking place way below the fence in the foreground. please let me know. ;-)
The layers of shadows and bright light is just great. I really like the fence shadow. Construction photos aren't easy. I havn't taken any for the project yet. Ive worked on many different job sites and I'm always amazed at the people and the machinery they operate. Most just enjoy the finished product but like photography the process can be most enjoyable :)
