dancing in the rain

“Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning how to dance in the rain.”
― Vivian Greene

rain-soaked purple and white irises. the petals look like swirly skirts of ballroom dancers.

my nikon D3100 has logged 96,432 shots from 2012 when i bought it. and it's in a coma right now. sadly, i just bought a new macro lens but apparently i have to wait for a sale to get the camera i want. three weeks ago, the prices were really good and i was barely interested! damn murphy's law!

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
Beautiful purple.

Love the colours, pattern and texture. I like composition that you have chosen. Not good news about your camera. I hope you are able to get a replacement soon. Out of interest how do you check how many photos your camera has logged?

Sorry to hear about the D3100's impending passing. :-( It had a pretty good run, though. Interested to see what you end up with. Oh, and great shot!

A truly beautiful image because of the color, close-up detail, and those drops. I am a sucker for drops!!
Perhaps your camera just needs a rest and then will work for you until you can find a good sale! Otherwise, Murphy's Law it is!

So beautiful! Love the ruffly petals. If you've actually worn out a camera, you deserve that new one!

This is absolutely gorgeous, and a definite FAV for me!! So sorry about the camera, but just look at it as an opportunity to get a new and improved model! ;-)) Hopefully it can be fixed.....I am actually still using my Nikon D90 as my backup camera with my crop sensor lenses.
