i went to the corner bank in the afternoon and when i was crossing the street going back, these group of "gold" people came out of the alterna credit union's office. good thing i brought my camera with me as i intended to go around to check the flowers at the park. the girl on the left saw me as i raised my camera and took this, my first shot. she waved then ran to me to hand me a small packet containing a $2 coin. turned out they were promoting the credit union/co-op bank.
they were wearing a one-piece gold body suit with a gold fanny pack tied around their waists and a round mask depicting a coin. we do have a "toonie" or a 2-dollar coin. so-called because when the $1 coin first came out in the early 90's, it was promptly nicknamed a "loonie" because of the image of a loon depicted on the face of the coin. so when the $2 coin was circulated it was called a 'toonie' or invariably spelled as 'two-nie'.
at least it is nice to see young people trying to earn some decent money by giving out money!
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated. sorry for my lack of commenting. young jack is here today and we will be taking him to the aquarium tomorrow morning.
Hi there I am your partner for this weeks pushed challenge. I have had a look at some of your work, it is beautiful and interesting. For this weeks challenge, I would like to see a picture of some graffiti!
@photographycrazy - hahaha! i was going to run, i was telling her to stop so i could get a full on capture but she came running to me to give me the packet with $2 in it! then i wished all of them would come rushing and give me more!
Super awesome- they look like from another planet( well I never been to another planet but I've seen a lot of science fiction movies--!cool or hot outfits!
What a wonderful photo opportunity that literally fell in your lap!! :-)))) Love it!! I am glad you did this in SC as it really sets off that person turned towards you from the amorphous lemming masses!! This is the best reason for ALWAYS having your camera with you and on the ready!! FAV!!
I look forward to seeing your picture. Stephanie.
