@northy and i met up yesterday afternoon to go to the Evergreen Brick Works east of Toronto.
officially known as the Don Valley Brick Works, the Evergreen Brick Works is a former quarry and industrial site. It operated for nearly 100 years and provided bricks used to construct many well-known Toronto landmarks. after the closure of the original factory, the quarry has been converted into a city park which includes a series of naturalized ponds, while the buildings have been restored and opened as an environmentally-focused community and cultural centre. - source: wikipedia.com
@stephanies my get pushed partner this week would like to see a picture of some graffiti. i had that in mind when photographing the interior of the brick works, as the walls were teeming with graffiti. i particularly liked the colourful graffiti on the wall at the other end of this tunnel, and together with the graffitied walls made for an interesting shot.
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
Oh, I know how much you detest graffiti, so it is rather interesting that your Get Pushed partner asked to photograph some, probably intending for you to find the beauty in them!! ;-))
