at the ruins

these are the remains of an old farmhouse that is in a wildlife protected area near north of madison, wisconsin. the weather during my visit here since Christmas eve had been bleak - grey skies, snow and sleet. the temps weren't so bad at first, but right after Christmas, old man winter just arrived.

today, on our way here, the skies opened up and by the time we left, the sky had cleared. the night sky is rife with stars. this place has a special place in my heart. the reason is here.

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are greatly appreciated.
Super atmosphere, great sky and silhouette

I lived in Madison Wisconsin while I was growing up so this has special meaning to me plus I just think it's kind of eerie like a castle in the United States.
