these unfurling fiddleheads look like beings from another planet with the light from the sunset back lighting them, don't they?
"these humans," i heard one of them say, "look like easy targets."
"and why do you say that, soldier?" asked their leader.
"well, look at them, your leadership. they just stare at us, their eyes almost crossed from staring. and they sometimes look at us with that little device."
"it's called a camera, you nincompoop!"

i know, lame story but i have writer's block these days. i drag the man to drive me to rosetta mclain gardens and we found this patch of ferns and i took a shot just as the sun was about to set on them.
