light, shadows, reflections by summerfield

light, shadows, reflections

it was a beautiful saturday afternoon, sunny but windy, when the young couple exchanged vows in the company of their families, relatives and friends. the ceremony was short and simple, the atmosphere rather casual. the bride of course exuded grace with her natural beauty and the groom glowed with his love for his bride.

but before the celebration could begin in earnest, i spotted the window illuminated by the bright afternoon sun. the lines from the blinds lent softness to the harsh light, but the shadow that was cast on the floor seemed like magic. later someone opened the window just a tad to let in some fresh countryside air and the blue tone of the light and reflection injected a mysterious feel about that part of the room, left open but no one dared to cross the shadows.

Interesting how two parallel Windows leave rectangles of light so off kilter from each other.
