another shot from the excursion with @northy when we went subway hopping on sunday.
this is part of an enclosure from the front garden of a house. the wood, splitting from wear and tear and the snow, one of the causes of such wear and tear.
i'm pretty sure that with the ice storm today, this would be enclosed in ice. it was horrendous coming home, the few yards i had to walk from the bus stop across my building took a good 10 minutes instead of 1 as i had to walk sooooooo slow so i won't fall. it was like walking on glass!
for flash of red's texture assignment this week.
also for the six-word story although shot outside of the regulated dates. but just to encourage you people to put in an entry. no, i'm not hosting it, thankfully!
OH VIKKI! I'm so glad to read you're home safely as that "walking on glass" part struck every raw nerve!!! I love seeing things that weather, but even more interesting is the opportunity to see it in action!
@summerfield Oh darlin'! SO NOT! I have walked on an icy sidewalk in CHicago in the past, and there's hardly a more helpless feeling! Just happy you got home! Hope you enjoyed the chocolate! And thank you for the note. I won't reply to anything there... I would just like the lawyer, who's been very nice, to see how hurtful I thought the diss from the hospital was. He thought so as well, but it's in my court now!
