a trio of turtles by summerfield

a trio of turtles

i had a french title in mind but i didn't want to shock you. :-P

had a brief sojourn at the allen gardens during lunch. it was what you could call a "hit and run". looking for interesting textures but there was no interesting light that was hitting the plants so this trio of turtles would do for today.

continuing with textures for the flash of red.

wonder if i could tag this for the theme-romantic? :-D

does it look like they're having a fight? if so, who's the winner, who's the hero and who's the villain? go here if you are so inclined and find out who: https://365project.org/fiveplustwo/365/2017-02-08 and https://365project.org/fiveplustwo/365/2017-02-09
Awesome low key shot of textures. Their striped necks really contrast nicely with their shells.

haha...to answer your question regarding romance, the short answer is, actually, No, in spite of what you conjure! I used to raise tortoises, and you KNEW when romance was in the air! They sounded like castanets! They left nothing to the imagination! haha... (I was out photographing pond turtles, too, the other day, and all was quiet...)

So if no romance, as @Weezilou said, it's a fight club... I'm for the one below. React! Fight back!

B and W seems to make the stripes on their legs really stand out. Such an interesting shot

I'm trying to think of an appropriate comment to make about your French title and have decided to leave it alone for now. I think it would be a grand idea to tag it for the weekly theme too. It is a spectacular image with lots of great detail.
