i have been lugging this arabian coffee pot since my oman days. it was part of a set of four stemmed goblets and a heavy tray, all in brass. i didn't believe the tray was that heavy until one day i was dusting and the bloody thing fell and hit my shin then my toe. so they got carted off to goodwill except for the pot. it's the only thing i keep from my oman days.
continuing with the flash of red february, i don't know if the texture of the brass shows. however, my get-pushed challenge this week is backlit in black and white by my partner sylvia @sdutoit so this is a two-fer!
let's make it a three-fer, for the six-word story challenge.
What a marvelous prop! It's got every wonderful curve going for it, and backlit, so much the better! NOW...as a usable piece, I would have hung on to the tray and let the rest go! But that's just me...
Love the lighting especially. I have a similar pot that I have been wanting to use in a phot for ages but this one is magnificent adn may have just convinced me not to bother. Aces Vikki
@grammyn - not really happy with this, it's too dark and in some monitors, like in the office, i can't see the details on the pot. in my laptop here at home, it's good, but i would in all probability re-do this so that the edges are better defined. can't wait to see your version. i used a led flashlight and a slightly longer exposure.
