the prompt for this week's 52 portraits of me is "relationship".
relationships are tricky so i try to stay away from people and thankfully, people tend to stay away from me, too! my very few friends know when they should bug me and when to leave me alone. sometimes i initiate contact, sometimes they do. like my friend in the west coast who challenged me to do this 52 portraits of me. she did it two years ago on facebook, she said, and passed on to me the prompts for the challenge. we rarely ever contact each other but when we do, we pick up from where we left off the last time. same thing with my bestie. and my young italian friend here. they know when to bug me because we have mutual respect for each other.
there's also sameera, a middle eastern lady i bump into every now and then. today we met up for some hot chocolate at the distillery district and talked for two hours until she noticed i've been itching to walk around and take photos. but i held off on the photography because i wanted her to teach me how to do headscarfs. because you never know when such skills might become handy. she showed me a couple of styles and then promptly told me that there are a lot of tutorials on youtube. everything is on youtube or facebook. except for a tutorial on how to photograph relationships. hah!
processed in befunky and flipped in picmonkey. :-P
@helenhall - a couple of ideas - take a photo of yourself holding hands with hubby, or if the gorgeous son is still around, a simple chit-chat shot of the two of you. :-)
