swirly ties by summerfield

swirly ties

an attempt at the mundane challenge, the mundane object is twist tie, you know, those paper or plastic covered wires that come with the garbage bags and used to tie around said bags when full.

this is an accidental set up and shot. i was playing with these, rolling them in my fingers, whilst waiting for my toast to finish, thinking how to best shoot it in an artistic way (because let's face it, it's a twist tie). getting bored, i went over to the living room window to check the weather. what do you know there was a couple of pigeons contently perched on the balcony rail. so i quickly discarded the ties onto the dining table, and shooed the bastard pigeons! next thing you know i smelled something burning and i belatedly found out i used the wrong setting in my toaster oven and my toasts were, you know...toast! blackened toasts! problem was they were my last two slices to toast. i was feeling scroogey and not wanting to waste my last two slices, but i thought better of it so instead i toasted the last remaining bun from my props the last week. whilst waiting (you can tell right here that i sometimes don't learn my lesson well and fast enough) i thought i'd shoot the blasted ties as they looked rather...well, swirly!

no, i didn't burn the bun and i didn't eat it either. again, belatedly i realized it had some molds in it so into the composting bucket it went. in the end i had oatmeal which was a mistake because it was already lunchtime and i was just making breakfast. what am i about? good thing i have godiva chocolate. it's as good a lunch or breakfast as any.

uhm...where were we with the ties?

also for the white on white.

almost sooc.

The very artsy rendition of swirly ties is a Beautiful white on white. Your narrative sounded an awful lot like "if you give a mouse a cookie"!

@grammyn - he'd want some cheese with it, and perhaps a glass of burgundy. ;-)
