"a single sunbeam is enough to drive away many shadows." - st. francis of assisi
this is the ranger lodge in the african savanna section of the toronto zoo. it is now closed for the season but the shadows cast by the sunlight on the mosquito net caught my eye. i shot this through the window glass so there's not much choice on perspective.
i miss sleeping with a mosquito net covering. in the old country, being in the tropics, mosquitoes abound and so the need to have mosquito nets. you have to fold the bottom of the net under the edge of the mattress or mat to be able to protect yourself.
lots of lessons learned during the sooc nifty-fifty month. now the question would be how much of those lessons learned gets retained and put to use now that we're back to "normal" whatever normal means.
Got bit by a pesky mosquito the other night and the itchiness woke me up. Would have loved to have one of these to protect me. Awesome capture of the light and shadows!
Mosquito nets bring back memories.
