icy sunburst by summerfield

icy sunburst

before going to the bus stop to go to work, i went around the neighbourhood to capture some icy branches and to take a photo for my turn at five plus two. not a single soul was around the parks and the football field near the school. not surprising as it was -15 celcius and with a bit of wind it felt like -20. not bad really but i also meant to take frozen bubbles at the park. there was just one problem.

i forgot to bring the bubble maker.

so this is all i can offer for today. but you might want to mosey on down and check five plus two's exploration theme this week: https://365project.org/fiveplustwo/365/2018-01-17

It is a beautiful capture of the snow and the sunburst puts the finishing touch on your photo. Maybe tomorrow you will have time to do a frozen bubble.

Very pretty- I wanted to work on a bubble shot today but it was too "warm"!

Beautiful shot of the sunburst through the tree.

I love this! It's very pretty the way the sun is bursting through.

Lucky for us that you forgot the bubble machine. This is a great capture! Would be better if you could have caught some of those nut job yanks, though. ;)

Beautiful sunburst against the snow. I’m sure it looks prettier than it feels!

Lovely sunburst... somehow I had thought yesterday was supposed to be warmer!

@northy - no, -15 when i stepped out, but it wasn't really a biting cold, surprisingly even with the windchill. but i didn't walk very far, perhaps four or five blocks. the sun through the branches was gorgeous though.

Lovely and nice sunburst

Hmmmm. I wonder why no one was there. Love those moments.

Wonderful capture. Seems much too cold to be exploring. You are a brave soul.

You have captured the winter "ambience" perfectly with this crisp shot. Your temperatures were the same as ours but ours will warm up today and I am certain yours won't

this is so pretty! Despite that prettiness I'd be so unhappy in that temperature!! . Looking forwards to +31 ish next week!!!

looks like a worthy explore despite the lack of bubble maker. It is a wonderful starburst and seems to have some extra bonus colour in it too. (my apologies for hijacking your thread yesterday btw)
