in a large goblet half filled with ice cubes, build 1-1/2 oz rhum, 3/4 oz blue curacao, , 1/2 oz creme de coconut and topped with pineapple juice. garnish with pineapple slices and maraschino cherry.
this wasn't one of my favourites from my mixology course back in the days. maybe because when i was still a young so-and-so back in the old country, when playing 'bar' with the girls who were playing house, i made a pretend drink that i saw in a magazine and it was blue. so i used ink and soap suds and when i wasn't looking, the darn neighbour's dog drank it. poor thing was barfing all over the "house" and the mean little girls would not play with me again. that's alright, i still played "bar" on my own with the dog and the cat as my customers.
itiofd, i put way more than an ounce of the blue curacao to make it this blue.
What a fine-looking drink!! While I agree it was not my most favourite, it seemed almost mandatory to have one while sitting under the banyan tree at the Moana Hotel on Waikiki! One must have photos, after all!
your month looks divine... i was going to ask if you drank all your concoctions after shooting them, but i see you've already essentially answered that question :)
