"At the end of the day there's another day dawning
And the sun in the morning is waiting to rise" - from les miserables
there was a beautiful sunset on saturday as i got off the bus. i had wanted to bring my groceries home first and get a tripod to take a photo by the highway. but i know sunsets and sunrises well enough that by the time i come back that beautiful colours would be gone. when i first moved in this building, i had the view of the sunsets. and how i missed them despite witnessing the most beautiful sunrises from my bedroom. so grocery cart in tow, i treaded the steep incline so i could take a photo from across the bridge that goes over the highway. but then the buildings in the horizon were a problem. so i went back down. by this time the sun was fast going down. and then this guy walked into the frame as well as a speeding car. and then there was a lull in traffic and this guy was walking neither slow nor fast and his silhouette against that gorgeous sunset just put that ooomph onto the shot.
i had to clone off a pesky hydro pole on the left. i could've cropped it but i wanted to have the silhouette a much wider space in front of him. the colour tone is due to the circular polarizing filter on the lens. say you love it. :-)
