one thing i can tell you about this picture is this: the lighting is all wrong.
it's late and i have meetings in the morrow; busy at work since monday, and to make matters worse my body clock is off. since i woke up sunday morning when i thought it was tuesday morning, my recollection of which day it is today is a bit way off.
i'm thinking the anomaly started when i inadvertently applied toothpaste on my face instead of moisturizer. i think i need a change of venue. i should inquire about moving to australia. ah, non, i just remembered i don't have the $30k that the aussie government requires for me to migrate there. yes, i think i will stay here and spend my 30k on meself.
goodnight, folks. i'll catch up with you in the morrow.
Whatever it's faults may, or may not be, I like this image anyway. Sorry to hear about the toothpaste incident, ranks with me cleaning my teeth with cold cream in my long-past youth. I didn't know our government slugged immigrants with a $30K fee!! Crikey, no wonder they like lots of immigrants.
I think the toothpaste on the face is marginally better than the face cream on the teeth (I speak from similar experience). It wont be long before the week is over and you can start again with getting everything in sequence and maybe you will be more content with your lot then. So the lighting is wrong - what would I know, I rather like this still life, and the various elements from of old that you pulled together to create it. (This is no reference, ofcourse, to your face which I can find no trace of).
@30pics4jackiesdiamond - should've come from the side to give more definition to the camera. but the idea came to me so late so i didn't bother to set up my lights. will try to do better next time. :-)
I really like your low-key photo it’s a beautiful still life.
Also, have you ever removed eye makeup with naill varnish remover?? Ouch!!
