on top of my red pashmina scarf. i tried so many ideas for this week, including oil and water abstracts but that thing just squashes my self-confidence and simply highlights my ineptness in some things. after a series of fails, if you fail on the first day on anything, never try it again. well, that only applies to me.
so my good friend lou-ann suggested this morning jewelry on coloured background. because it's late and i've erased all the epic fails today, i started with a clean slate and did as suggested. for the next few days, macro shots will be the fare as i will be shooting the blings i wear everyday. (actually, i need the hubble telescope to shoot my blings as they're really tiny!)
ever since i started photography, i've lost three bracelets. so now i wear these on my left and my watch on my right as i use a wrist strap with my camera.
I think your oil and water abstracts were interesting. But if it’s not fun anymore, definitely time for a change. There are so many possibilities on this site.
lovely textures in the scarf and colour for the red, pretty tennis bracelet.
(I had an idea for the tag challenge using my daughter's red tartan coat and lace, but it was an epic fail, so if the weather is good tomorrow morning I may try for my original tags as the dandelions are now in flower.)
my shots for this week were to be oil and water. also abandoned for similar reasons. I am sure your bling alternative will be very rewarding and less frustrating. Great start on the red.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond@summerfield The term Tennis Bracelet was coined thanks to Chris Evert, a professional tennis player from the USA, who had a prolific career which stemmed from 1972 to 1989. During a ferocious match in the US Open her George Bedewi diamond bracelet broke and fell off her wrist.
This occurred due to the clasp on her bracelet snapping. Chris Evert actually asked the officials on the court if they could stop the match, until the diamond bracelet was recovered. Ever since that memorable moment, George Bedewi immediately became popular within the jewellery industry and jewelers everywhere were creating a bracelet with handmade in line diamonds and secure clasps. This is now known as the "Tennis Bracelet".
Love this one on the red. A beautiful choice for the first of the week
