dive and fly

a cormorant flew away after catching its dinner. it did a kamikaze dive, came out with a fish in its mouth, quickly swallowed it, all in the blink of an eye! until i've downloaded the shots did i see the trail it left in the water. the movement was so fast it looked like it was just flying and skimming just above the water.

beautiful weather in toronto today. lots of people about, mostly going to the arena to watch a live telecast of the nba finals.
