not feeling any creativity at all, this was a forced study in creative simplicity. in fact i tried to do light painting but it was a total fail and i am sweating like a dog even with minimal movement.
my camera is in dire need of WB calibration. how i know is my black background comes out as dark blue so i had to convert this to black and white and brush back the flowers' colours. must find my grey cards on the weekend.
This is beautiful Vikki. I wouldn't know how to go about calibrating the WB on my camera. My black backgrounds often look blue if I have too much light shining on them.
@merrelyn - you can get a grey card from your local photo store or just get a board either black, pure white or grey. take a photo of the card in all your camera's WB setting, with the card taking up the whole frame. for my canon 60D, which is the equivalent of your camera, i just take a few shots in WB in natural window light and it behaves properly.
