the one nice thin about the new office is the almost unobstructed view of the ground right below. i have an excellent view of the one of the busiest intersection of the downtown core, bay street and king street west. this is king street west and where that tiny light blue car is stopped on the right, it's waiting for the lights o change for it to cross bay street.
what drew me to the scene below are the tops of the new streetcars plying king street west. the top one which is westbound and the lower streetcar is eastbound. the cables and "stuff" are all exposed and i wonder if they get covered during bad weather, say, rain or snow, as they run on electricity through the roof poles attached from the end cars. to me they look like the inside of a computer.
Oh wow, what a fabulous view, look forward to seeing more of this pov. Good question about the electrical stuff though. I've never seen the top of any of Melbourne's new trams but I don't think they have anything like this on top. The old ones sure didn't. But some of the trains have a bunch of stuff on the roof.
Interesting view. Them being so open does make them much more interesting to look at. I cannot remember when I was last higher than about 10 or 12 floors up.
If this is anything to go by, I foresee lots of interesting images coming from your office view. I agree with @30pics4jackiesdiamond 30 floors up is nosebleed high!
I knew this shot was yours - I think you are going to get plenty of interesting scenes from your new office location. Good point about all those exposed electrics - there must be a cunning plan.
