snowflakes

in searching for a suitable quote about snowflakes, i came across an article in britain's 'the sun' newspaper regarding the meaning of "snowflake". here, have a read if you are so inclined: https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/5115128/snowflake-generation-meaning-origin-term/

it's a little bit confusing to me that we demand free speech and at the same time we ourselves demand for apologies and recants when someone has done or said something that is not to our liking.

i don't like to think that we are doomed, but the way society is shaping and transforming, it doesn't look too good to me.

however, i know and am rather familiar with the real snowflakes, you know, the kind that fall down from the sky and transforms the landscape to white when it falls a-plenty.

we didn't have a white Christmas this time but i told a friend i am not complaining if the temps hit really unseasonal. i'm used to it as i grew up in the tropics and used to a green Christmas.

what's your favourite part of Christmas? see mine here: https://365project.org/fiveplustwo/365/2019-12-25

Hi Vikki! Thanks for stopping by! Lovely seasonal pic!
All is well here, just my motivation that's lacking! I'll probably come back briefly again, haha! I always feel inclined at the start of the year ;)

Thai is lovely. Yes, I agree society is becoming a paradox. Same with us doing protests about global warming yet we can't stop buying the next thing that comes in sale. I hope you had a great Xmas.

Lovely image Vikki. I also worry about the way our society is changing. We don't have snow but there are snowflakes a plenty!

You can grab a word and make it a label all you like but the truth of the matter is in the case of a snowflake, it still retains its original meaning and a photograph can capture a snowflake's beauty without worrying whether or not it will make someone cry. Pretty shot!

This is beautiful! I agree that people take perfectly normal words and warp them into something totally opposite of what they mean.
Then they get offended if you use them the way the word was originally meant to be used! Go figure!!
