my one-week old flowers are still looking great, n'est-ce pas? 'tis a good thing though because today, i never made it outside, not in the balcony, not to walk in the oval. the weather was like dr. jekyll and mr. hyde -- one minute it's bright sunshine, the next it's all hail and snow. and it's freaking cold. i woke up this morning with a slight headache, and a sandy feeling in my throat. i took my temps to see if i had a fever which i knew i didn't but just wanted to make sure. i couldn't start doing my taxes as a result.
then i figured, i did my walking yesterday in -2 temperature with a moderate wind blowing. that should be enough reason to be sick. but towards lunchtime i was fine but it was nice to laze around in bed and watch the changing weather so i lazed around in my bed.
read two books and ate a bowl of banana split ice cream and motivated enough to take a couple of shots for today's word prompt which is "flowers".
it being mother's day tomorrow, i figured the stores will be crowded, just, with a long line up to get in, in this cold, and the prices of flowers would be exhorbitant. i only get flowers for the "home office" and since i'm supposed to be off doing my taxes which i haven't even started on, no need to buy as these still work. i'd go buy on monday when it's cheaper. 😜
Very pretty. Love the way you have framed them. As for going outside....I didnt even get out of bed until 5.30 PM!! I have been working a weird late shift doing a long term charter so I do have an excuse to sleep late...just not 5.30 pm late. Besides that it was just way to cold and nasty outdoors today.
what a treat to have flowers all the time. They are still looking great after a week. You have my sympathy waking up feeling unwell. It is so easy to think the worst with every tiny symptom. Thanks for sharing those flowers with us :)
