excellent idea, poor execution by summerfield

excellent idea, poor execution

i saw something similar to this for an ad for a wrist watch. i thought i could emulate it but my processing skills is sadly lacking. i'd have loved to have blended the colours where they meet in the middle but i couldn't figure out how to. i almost wanted to just throw the watch into a pot of water and ink but i didn't want to waste a watch. in the end i settled for this as it is late and i have to notarize a document early tomorrow morning so i have to make a trip downtown to the office.

I like it :-)

You’ll have to point out the poor execution part because I cannot see it! Amazing photo. I don’t even know where to begin

I think it's an excellent job. I understand what your saying, but I'm not sure blending is necessary.

think it looks fine as it is, like the way the blue seems to curl round the watch like fingers
