a study of trees in black and white

for the tag challenge, my tags were b&w and trees. i don't know if the challenge is still on-going but i will tag it just the same as i took this during the course of the challenge anyway specifically for the tags that i got.

i had a lovely time with my church friends and co-memoir writers last night. we would have kept on talking if it didn't get dark. it was a supper most pleasant and heaven knows i have been hungry for a person-to-person conversation that is both informative and intelligent. it is quite nice when i could actually contribute to a conversation no matter how brief and small it may be, the contribution. our minister, who was also our instructor/facilitator for the course, is a very intelligent, quick-witted and so full of information, religion, current events and history. well, considering she is very well-read.

i very seldom met a well-read person, one of them was the first mr. summerfield who was just a sponge of information in all areas of knowledge. makes me want to be young again and read all those books that i never got to read.

the book "in the darkroom" by susan faludi was recommended and i have it now on my kindle and i'm all set to read it when i am offline from work on friday. very interesting story line, if you're interested or haven't read it.

i'm jealous of intelligent people and all the information that spews out of their brain and mouths. jealousy and envy are sometimes known as the green-eyed monster and green is this week's theme over at five plus two. check us out: https://365project.org/fiveplustwo/365/2020-07-15
This is a lovely photo. I like the gentle curve of the trees. It looks terrific in black and white

Nice! I love how the brighter path and grass sort of frame the darker trees.

Nice b&w.

there is no need whatsoever for you to be jealous of intelligent people. you have both intelligence and creativity in equal measure - the perfect combination. That is a sturdy line of trees drawing us along the path towards the sturdy looking figure. A good composition.

Goodness Vikki- don't fool yourself in thinking you are not intelligent! One cannot really be a writer without a good dose of it because writing takes a lot of thought and one must be able to convey that to others in a way they understand. I think the "thing" that fools us is that intelligence can be demonstrated in a number of ways but culture usually labels it in only one way. So enough with the jealousy and on with the intelligent way you always put words on the page!

Well done on the tags!
