"I accept that the mind often dictates the heart. Yet I believe that the heart is the truer guide." - Beach House Memories, Mary Alice Monroe
i didn't go out at all today. the weather was like jekyll and hyde -- the rainstorm from last night continued on until late morning. then briefly there was an electrical storm that cut off the area's power off and on for about four hours. just hope my poor deep freeze, being more than ten years old, would hang on. and because there was no power and there was no knowing how long it would be off or on, the elevators were not operating except for the firemen's lift and only two at a time can go in it.
too bad because i have a star filter that i wanted to try outside. now it's raining again so i can't even go on the balcony to take night shots. tag challenge to the rescue. i got heart, red and flowers. the little posy is almost in its last leg (i admit i forgot to water it yesterday and today) but turning it around one pink carnation is still in fighting form. i know i have crystal heart pendants somewhere but, as usual, i couldn't find my play treasure chest, so this tiny pendant would have to do. i had thought that that fuschia carnation would look gaudy with the red background but i don't think it looks that bad, do you think?
It all works together very well. Pretty presentation. Hope your power situation didn't do any damage. We had tornado warnings several times today but not even a breeze to go with the day-long rain.
Beautiful composition to pull those tag elements together so nicely and no the fuchsia carnation does not look gaudy against the red background. Sorry about your weather and the problems it created for you. It’s clear to see by the other comments that the bokeh is the start of this photograph
