i had a dental appointment today. i don't know but as i grow older it seems even the simple hygiene appointments wear me out. the round of x-rays alone zaps the heck out of me. that didn't used to be the case years ago. add to that the time it takes me to travel. i live in the northeast end of the city and my dentist's clinic is in the southwest end. travel shouldn't take a long time because the connections are supposed to be smooth. still, i left the apartment at 1, got there at 2:44 in time for my 3 o'clock appointment, and got out of there after 5. and then there's the extended opening of the mouth and jaws. then the travel back. are you exhausted yet reading this?
then i remembered i didn't have any decent food so i decided to go straight to the mall near where i live where i know they have good sushi and sushi is the only food i am willing to put in my mouth today after this long, weary day, and after a week of the blasé food i've been having. i don't know what came over me but i decided i would buy popcorn. and blimey! i don't even eat popcorn! and right next to the sushi shop is the cinnabon store, i bought a box of 15 minis. by the time i came out of the mall, i certainly looked like i was going to be holing out for the winter. i better steam those brussels sprouts in the fridge!
all that only to tell you i have no idea what i should post tonight. the living room is in chaos and i just am not in the mood to find props. my sketch book is brimming with the leaves i've picked up the few times i've been out and you can guess what happened.
I just LOVE this . If I can still find an assortment of fall leaves I'm stealing this .... thankfully you didn't mention any cavities so maybe you are done for six months. I go in two weeks for a cleaning but thankfully it only takes me 20 minutes to get there.
@lesip - steal away, my good friend. we still have a lot here, on the ground. just make sure you wash them when you get home. i'm suspicious of these leaves i pick up as there are a lot of dog walkers and who knows who else go around those trees and what they do! 😂
What a great idea with the leaves! I won't steel or copy because we simply do not have fall leaves.
With regards to the dentist... we have not been for ages... plan was to go back in Houston... Yikes! You reminded me I have to look for one here...

Your day sounded like rubbish to me! That’s ridiculous to spend that much time just for a cleaning. Even worse that it took half your day! Celebrating with sushi in Cinnabon seems like a perfect conclusion to the day.
