that overhead light is atrocious but it makes the glittery paper into subtle bokehs.
today, i took the time to have some of my Christmas shots, including yesterday's photo of my painting, printed into 4x6 prints so i can send out a few more Christmas cards before the holidays are over. ๐ the question is will they get printed before the holidays are over. if you want to receive a card from me, please email me your address. if you have already received a card from me, i just might send another one.
i found this lone Christmas ball behind one of the boxes in my spare room. lucky, as i had no idea what to post tonight. all my Christmas props last year had been included in the box for my sister in the old country. i hope she's having a grand time decorating her house. what i couldn't send her were the Christmas lights and i have quite a few sets aside from the fairy curtain lights.
it's the weekend and i have no painting project lined up. a few weeks ago, i saw a painting of a window with a vase of flowers and a cat looking out but i didn't save the url as i told myself it was too complicated for me to paint. now i can't find it. but i think what i would do is make a composite of photos to recreate it as i remembered it.
a note: the photo and its title are just that. it's not a cry for help. ๐ 12 special personality traits of people who like to be alone: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-xLx8HHx_I
Beautifully simple! In my opinion that makes it art! Definitely a FAV Good to know the title is not a reflection of your emotional stability. Because of our isolation is is easy to slip into a depression and not really recognize it until itโs a problem.
LOL my brain looked at the picture and title and did not even sense a hint of psychological problems- it was just a description of the ornament! I guess I'm just too happy. (o;
Love that the decorative part of the ball is facing to the right as it really adds to the loneliness of the image! Also the blue sparkle gives the viewer the impression of a cold loneliness! Fav!
I like this a lot. Agree with @bubblequeen that the decorated part of the ornament not facing the camera really adds to the composition. Beautifully blue and sparkly.
:-)
Nice sparkly Christmas shot!
