by the lake

i forgot about the pictures i took last monday on my way back from the dentist. i always take the bus that has a route through the highway and passing by the lakeside. obviously, i haven't forgotten how to take drive-by photos.

this shot reminds me of a combination of photos by jeff wall, the artist featured in the current artist challenge. his photographs are almost always zoomed out that gives the viewer a sense of a larger story rather than what is being conveyed. (that's my story and i'm stickin' to it!) so, i'm tagging it for the challenge.
Beautiful drive by and lovely tones.

It always surprises me how little snow you guys get, at least that accumulates. Great challenge shot. I definitely buy into your story :)

This is a great shot, Vikki and your explanation of Jeff Wall's work is spot on.
Thank you for entering the challenge (and WHERE is your snow?)

Fabulous drive-by! I love the almost monochromatic feel to it.

I like the look of the lake and the benches to sit and watch. I wish our water areas had more of these amenities. There's a greenway along the river, but one can't see the water from most of it. There's a bench or two but nowhere that one would want to sit for very long. The lake - well people have tied up the shoreline with realty and the little access the pubic has, devoted mostly to boaters.
