tomorrow marks the one year anniversary of our church zoom service. hard to believe that we can send rockets to mars and beyond and we can't contain this damn pandemic. a couple of elders decided we should mark the occasion and made cupcakes and distributed them to the congregants which we shall all partake tomorrow after the service.
i've been sidelined by a really bad attack of vertigo since last tuesday night. wednesday morning, i just couldn't stay vertical for more than a few seconds. it was a good thing i had re-arranged my bedroom the previous week so that i am sleeping nearer the door and my bedroom door is right next to the bathroom door. i was starving by wednesday night because i couldn't even go to the kitchen at the far end of the unit. in the end i had no choice but crawl to the kitchen to get some water and crackers.
it's almost comical to be calling the office to say you can't come to work because you're sick. well, i couldn't go to the living room where i had my office because it's too far away from the bedroom and if i had to throw up i needed to be near the bathroom.
i'm still a bit woozy but i can stay up as long as i don't turn my head abruptly to my right. funnily enough, i'm fine turning my head to the left. but i dread going to bed because the swirling and the whirling and the spinning start all over again.
and staring at the computer screen takes a toll. so i'm staying off it for a while. i hope you understand.

Your cupcake looks delicious! Take care of yourself. I might be wrong, but I don't believe the medical establishment has come up with a cure for anything since polio.
The cupcake looks delicious.
I am so sorry to hear of your recent bout of vertigo and hope it clears up soon!
The problems with this pandemic will be done only when the powers that be feel they've manipulated the populace enough and made a sufficient amount of money off of it.
On a happier note- I wore my camera mask with the little butterfly to the hospital and the nurses loved it.
Yes please! I would definitely love to have one of these. Your photo makes it look very appealing!
So sorry to hear about your vertigo I have been wondering where you were. A few years ago I had a consistent case of dizziness every time I would lay backwards. I find it interesting it was the same for me in that if I turned my head to the right I was fine but if I turned to the left it made me dizzy. I know how miserable that can make you so I hope you get well quickly
Oh my goodness. I’ve only had one bout of vertigo, it is awful. So sorry! It’s so nice that everyone received a cupcake, that had to be a lot of driving for the elders.
Sorry to hear you have been feeling unwell. Have had vertigo for about a month now, but my sinuses were so full and one ear blocked the treatment didn't take. The vertigo only strikes when I roll over in bed and when I sit up after lying down all night. Thank goodness, no nausea or vomiting with it. Got it all looked at Friday by the ENT who changed some meds. Will get back in the bed and roll around today sometime and maybe resolved the problem for the time being.
@marlboromaam a scary fact!!!
