ten years, six cameras and numerous lenses, and loads of SD cards. my first dslr, a Nikon D3100 had a shutter actuation of 145K shots, the Canon 60D i use at home has more than 200K shutter actuation, and probably thousands more on other cameras, including my point and shoots, i had used during the 10 years on 365.
everything i know about photography, i learned here on 365. the people had been very supportive and the professionals were eager to impart their know-how to us amateurs. the greatest achievement? the beautiful and wonderful friends i have made, including ann, katy, northy, jaxter and my painting buddies, merrelyn, kali, mike gifford, DD, junko, louise and ken, mara, my old mate danielle greenwood, alia the professor in australia, jann, howard, claireuk, rita, camille, kathy, taffy...to mention but a few, some of them i've met and hopefully i would meet more in the future, all of them inspired and admired. and all because of ross and 365!
gheez, that's a lot of downloading i would need to do.
and by the way, have you used the new "download archive" feature that ross has installed in the project? it looks scary but one day, i would have to try downloading some of my photos and stories posted here.
update: as i consider this a milestone, i am tagging this for week 15 of the 52 captures the theme this week being "celebration".
Congratulations on 5000 photos friend! I love the composition of this one and how you have used your 30 shots subject perfectly! I am honored to be counted!
WOWZA--5000 images, what an achievement! Here's looking to 5000 more. 365 has been a tremendous inspiration in so many ways, and the virtual friendships (which sometimes turn into in-person ones!) are treasures for sure.
What an achievement to celebrate. Your photography is astounding and you were my first mentor here on 365. I truly value the friendship we have forged because I don't do white on white!!
So honored to appear in the list! ❤️Congrats for 5000 shots! But... in 10 years it makes 500 photos uploaded a year... what kind of calendar did you rely on? 🤔
Happy Anniversary! You have put what you've learned to good use. You are so artistic and clever and are able to translate that to your photography. I look forward to 10 more years.
Way to go!
