half ferule half bristle, this is a macro of one of my flat acrylic brushes, using the raynox macro filter. another ho-hum just to keep the challenge going for me. i wonder at which point i would self-implode because i'm pretty sure this challenge is the end of me.
today i tried my hand at watercolour painting. i enjoyed it quite a bit as the subject is something i like: butterfly.
i had a lengthy consultation with my doctor yesterday. because they are limited to just a certain number of patients now, and as i was the last patient (my appointment was at 3), i supposed the doctors have more time to interact with their patients. at some point i mentioned to her that i have learned how to paint and she grew quite animated. she said she had been wanting to pursue a hobby and she's been thinking she would like to paint. she asked a lot of questions as to what subjects i like to paint, are the materials expensive, did i take a course, etc. etc. she said she could not draw and i said i myself didn't think or know i could draw, but apparently my father's artsy genes also reside in my body. her son she said could paint and draw and she and her husband didn't know where he got that talent from since neither of them are artsy. so i told her to just do it, watch a few tutorials and go for it.
