a shot from sunday as i was waiting for the bus. there was a time when my brain's cogs worked overtime whenever i waited for the bus; i'd pay no mind to what's going on around me and just write inside my head, mostly stories that never got written down; or staring at clouds and looking for familiar shapes. now i look around and see what a pan on the side would look like in photograph. i don't know which me i prefer.

i was in a conference call with one of the few good friends at the office. she was rather excited to learn that i now paint aside from photographing. she wants to commission me to paint in a large canvas anything colourful for her kitchen and dining walls -- a lot of reds, she said, maybe some autumn views. i said i will try to sketch something for her and then i will actually TRY to paint it. oh, lordy!
Congratulations! That is a real achievement!
