the ice melteth by summerfield

the ice melteth

i grabbed the chance to go for my daily long walk during my lunch hour. from -21 yesterday to plus 2 today, i thought why not? the streets were icy but melting icy, nothing that would have made walking difficult. i passed by the creek which i heard was frozen from monday to yesterday but today the water was definitely live and the frozen top was cracking as the temperature continued to warm up.

i walked a good 4.5 km and got some fresh produce from the grocery store. now i'm all stocked up with healthy food so i'm good to stay in until i have to get my booster shot on friday afternoon. although i think the high temp (if you can call 2 degrees celcius high) will continue until tomorrow afternoon.

Very nice pov. Definitely catches the water moving.

All is so relative! We are having cold temperatures - just below 20C at night....

This one makes me cold to look at it but I admire your persistence in your exercise regime. Not letting these temperatures stop you is a testimony to your commitment.

I second Merrelyn's "Brrr" - well done for getting out and not falling over on the ice!

I think that so many have said what I was thinking. It looks very cold and I continue to admire your commitment to your health and well being.

funny (and vaguely irritating) how people in other places always win when it comes to cold! I think it's really really cold, and then I hear from someone who is in a much colder place. Stay warm.
