shaggy feather by summerfield

shaggy feather

i have a mind to post this for the 'animal' assignment of the 52 assignments challenge. why? because there's no way in the heavens that i shall be able to take a photo of an animal. i could go down the laundry room 23 floors below and try to find some spider or roachy characters but i don't really want to go there unless i'm hauling my laundry cart. since this is part of an animal, i thought this would do, non? nice try, summerfield. nice try.

but you guys have a go at the macro-screw challenge, please.

Beautiful minimalist capture. Love the details you have captured. I think you could call it animal, just think of it as “thinking outside the box”, finding a creative solution.

Such a beautiful feather!

I'm hearing you, I work all day and have no pets so no idea what I'm going to post for the animal assignment. My friend has a dog but I cant get to her place this week. I might have to get one of the kids toy animals 😂

Absolutely exquisite detail especially when viewed on black. I think this works fine for a portion of animal

@shutterbug49 @kjarn @monikozi @louannwarren @grammyn @momamo @wakelys

thanks for your encouragement, my friends. however, the assignment specifically states (at least that's my recall) that it has to be a live animal. although, LAW, that is a good argument. 🤣

Well, I bet the swan was alive, even if it lost one feather...
And the organizer has his rules, you have your own.

Good lateral thinking!

@summerfield maybe there were microscopic mites crawling in the feather - that would count!
