mural #9

the old man at the market
this one is on the west side of the st. lawrence market building, across the street from the building of murals #7 and #8. there is a car parked beside it so it is not possible to get a full shot. now it seems that the car blends in with the painting due to its silver colour and the old man looks like he's actually leaning against the pipe or the wall. the painting is actually quite old and faded and most people probably never even have taken a second look at it.

there were a lot of people at the market at lunchtime but i found an old lady (turned out she is younger than me by 18 months) who sold one-of-a-kind bead jewelry. i'm going back there to bring her my old beads.
Wow this is a fantastic mural, someone is a great artist, love the detail and depth

@jobesekama - thank you, beth. toronto is home to a lot of really great and talented artists, but most of us are not recognized (yet). (you note that i wrote "us" and "yet". i've become rather optimistic as i get older.) cheers!
