we brought the grands to the science centre this afternoon. from inside, i saw this tree outside in the little 'forest' surrounding the building. the lone tree that has changed its colours. it's the smallest and thinnest but it's also different in colour, almost as if it's saying, "look at me, i'm red!"
@sunnygreenwood - wonderful yes! and what a wonderful way to really tell the body that it's actually getting old. oh, boy, never thought three little men could make me feel so tired, the littlest one more so. one of those times when i feel i should have just opted for the stereotype grandma "on a rocking chair beside the christmas tree or knitting by the fire". thank you, anne.
@bruni - hi, bruni. thank you. when my partner saw this tree as we were walking through the long hallways towards the centre proper, he said: 'there's your picture for today!' and i took a lot of photos but this one kept screaming at me.
Love that that little "red" guy! Nicely framed by the other trees . . great pof. Can't beat those beautiful autumn colors!! Hope that you enjoyed the whole day, summerfield.
@karenann - thanks, karenann. i couldn't make it anymore redder that it actually looked as i took this from inside the building so there was a thick glass between me and the little red guy. i was thankful there was not a lot of reflections. thanks again.
@catsmeowb - i'm more like the wind-up granny. after they left, i felt sooooooooooooooo exhausted, like i ran the marathon five times over. i'm too old for this, i say! thanks, camille.
gorgeous photo...and kids are like magnets...they have tons of energy...but that energy that somehow attracts all the energy from everyone else and uses it all up! guess you felt like the little red tree...a little out of fresh sap :-)
@pamfromcalgary - thank you, pam. much appreciated.
@altadc - thank you, alta. coolio!
@steeler - how true! thank you, howard.
@bkbinthecity - gotta love fall, indeed! thanks, bkb.
@nanalisarocks - thank you, lisa. much appreciated.
