bridge by summerfield

bridge

i'm sick (literally) and tired of winter. the bucket list got changed somehow in the middle of the challenge. so i'm switching the last item "leap year" to "bridge" the item that replaced 'hero'. because, just how do you photograph leap year?

i had wanted to take the ferry to the islands and shoot this bridge, also to see how it looks right now. but it was and is miserable today with wet snow pouring in all day. that and the really could-get-you-cranky cold that just seeps right through the bones. so, i am posting this. don't care if it's out of place in this season and weather. it's to cheer us all up and maybe the weather gods would listen and make it summer already.

so you ask, why was this never posted before? i took this in june last year when i was doing my CN tower project. just never had the opportunity. but i had it enlarged and is now hanging in my bedroom.

i'll catch up on your photos, my friends, soon as the vertigo's gone.
Sue

How beautiful. I bet it looks lovely on your wall. I hope you get over whatever is ailing you. There seems to be a nasty virus going around here.

Well get well. Have a good nights rest. This is a great shot and I can see why you would enlarge it. I have done that with a couple of mine

@roth - thank you, my friend. you are so kind.

@pamfromcalgary - it does look so beautiful it's like a window to a different world. thank you, pam.

@pandorasecho - it's actually just a stone's throw from my office, although i would need to take the ferry. i should go back there and take a winter shot when the temperatures are a little bit better and before the spring. thank you, dixie.

@olivetreeann - as i said, it seems like it is a window to a different world. i lie in my bed and stare at it and i just have good dreams, except the part where the damn swan chased me yet again. thank you, ann.

@karenann - it looks weird when i look at the calendar view of this album. but on the wall it is so natural. thank you, karenann.

@bkbinthecity - thank you, brian, you are so kind.

Hi, don't be jealous of my books, I could wallpaper the house with rejection letters so I published myself on Createpace and did the kindle myself and people love the books even though editors wouldn't buy them. If you want to talk and ask questions, I'm on facebook as Dixie Miller Goode too.

feels like a wonderful peaceful summer day! Works for me mid winter! Lovely shot! (And yes, just WHAT do you do with Leap year???!!)

@pandorasecho - i'll be sure to bug you soon! thank you.

@cscecil - thank you, CS. you are such a sweetheart. i once got myself in trouble over this leap year thing. a long time ago, my friends at the time cajoled me into proposing to my then boyfriend. ooops, did it backfire because he did accept, to my disappointment because what i really wanted was to break up with him as i kind of liked another boy then. so the next day, i retracted my proposal and holy momma! was he mad. to the point he broke up with me. which worked quite well, although i didn't like the idea of being dumped. then after that there was a debate as to who dumped who. since then i would not allow my friends to run my personal affairs.
