it's a cliché, of course. when we're asked to give an example of a fruit, apple comes to mind quickly.
i've been thinking how i'd shoot this apple so that it might be something fresh as i've seen a lot of fancy shots of apple, green or red or blue. so i decided on just a simple shot. so there you have it, folks.
i normally slice this mac rather thinly, then arrange the slices in a microwave container, sprinkle some cinnamon sugar and microwave for about 35 minutes. and voila, instant snack, healthy and sweet.
My fruit shot had a Granny in it too- except the processing turned it purple! I love your simple shot. It reminds me of my "Green Friends" shot back in the summer. There is something quite beautiful here. I'm not a big apple fan, but this makes me think I'd like to eat one.
@olivetreeann - is it a granny? i thought the sign at the store said it was a mac and the receipt indicates it's a mac. is there a lot of difference with apples? the only thing i know about apples is that i like to eat it, especially with old cheddar. i don't really go for this one very often as i prefer a royal gala or red delicious, but i had a hankering for apple and cinnamon last night. obviously this baby's been digested overnight. :-) thank you, ann.
I agree apples must be the models of the fruit world always so photogenic...great capture ... I prefer the softer golden delicious apples,myself and of course if they covered in toffee ,,now you talking
@steeler - you really have a sweet tooth, howard. do you like it also when it's covered with nuts, then re-dipped in caramel? my molars are throbbing suddenly. thank you, howard.
@karenann - thank you, karenann.
@sarasdadandmom - thank you, terry.
@myautofocuslife - thank you, livia.
