even i couldn't believe it. we were driving back from london, ontario this afternoon on the 401, part of the trans-canada highway. this is just outside of london. partner normally drives 20 kilometres over the posted speed limit, normally 100 km. this time he set his auto-cruise to 118.
this cornfield is one great stretch. i liked the rows of young corn and i saw the house and barn quite late as i was taking shots of the dark clouds. but i pressed the shutter anyway. the camera's scene setting was still on 'vivid colours' from when i used it yesterday. i think it turned out quite well. i like how the rows of corn leads up to the house and barn. i like it. hope you do, too.
Summerfield this really is a great shot considering the circumstances which yoiu just desfribed. The corn really does lead a person up to the buildings
@bkbinthecity - thank you, brian. one day, i will master this shooting from a fast moving car. my problem is i always forget the point in which i should press the darn shutter. or sometimes, i just am not fast enough on the shutter. much appreciated, brian.
@alia_801 - been doing this 'shooting while the car is in motion' thing for more than a year and still it amazes me when i get something as pretty as this. thank you, alia.
@jannkc - okay, this is the 'fly by shooting' i wanted to call it 'drive by shooting' but that sounds violent and messy. fly by is good. thank you, jann.
@pandorasecho - well, i've been doing this for more than a year, i should be able to get a few good shots. partner wouldn't slow down especially on the highway, so i learned to shoot straight and now clear and with a hint of perspective. thank you, dixie.
@jjmarble - thank you, j. these probably are probably higher than they seem. the highway is several meters away from the edge of the farms.
