one item off the bucket list

my young niece came today to install something on my laptop. when i mentioned to her i wanted to do balloon burst photography, she came right away, even brought a towel with her. i have not played with her since she was six years old (20 years ago!) and today we played like it was old times. i think she enjoyed it more than i did. she filled 20 balloons with water and tied them up and set up the props in one of the hooks in the garden. the kid was literally untiring.

there were four passable shots and this was the best one of the lot because i caught it at the exact split second when the balloon burst and the water was still in the shape of the balloon!
