This daylily has one of the richest and deepest colour tones of all the daylilies in my garden. It's called "Little Grapette". I was going to give the pic a black background but I really like the contrast of the Hosta [Blue Halcyon[ in the top corner so just faded the border slightly and added my name. Aside from the colour, my favourite part of this daylily is the frilly edge on the petals.
We have record breaking hot temps around here these days. With the humidity factored in, we in the 40's. No backroads or creek walks today!
I like the ruffles- i have one that color- I need to look for the ruffles. I dont know the names of any of mine- I should do a collage and you can name them for me.
@jannkc I don't know many of the names either, the tags get eaten by the garden critters, I swear! I'd love to see your collage tho, Jann. I've been thinking of a daylily collage too ... I just have to figure how to do it! lol
when you say 'velvet' it does really look like velvet. and the "ruffled edges" make it really gorgeous. beautiful lily. i'm so looking forward to your and @jannck's collage of flowers. thank you for this, anne.
