The evenings are getting cool and the days much shorter so I'd better throw in a few more flower pics while I can. Fall is fast approaching. This one's an hibiscus that is growing at a friend's house.

Beautiful shot! I know what you mean, Anne - fall is just around the corner, there's a change in the air and there's nothing we can do to stop it! It seems to make the current season more precious.

super! I love the composition with the leaf and the bloom. Don't know if you did it on purpose, but I also think hibiscus are cool with those "vents" or holes in the back where the petals are narrow and you can see through the flower....I see it peeking at me here. I have a hibiscus pic of the blooom and a sweat bee in it...that is when I noticed the narrowness of the petals, making the light come through...Pretty!
beautiful shot, love the color......hibiscus are so pretty in photos! I know what you mean about getting photos of the flowers while we can. It's still August but I'm seeing signs that fall isn't so far away.....some leaves are just barely starting to change to their fall attire and the ones that haven't aren't looking quite as 'young and vibrant' as they did earlier in the season.....and so many of the flowers are gone or nearly so.
I love the Fall, we don't have much of one here. . .
