Hibiscus

I visited a little greenhouse at a local school and this hibiscus caught my eye. The background was pretty ugly, regardless of the angle I tried so you get black ... ;-)

@hamble thanks! i do it in photoshop with very shaky arthritic hands lol! i just "select" the background colours and "brush" them black.

hibiscus is one of my favourite flowers; in fact, when i was trying to create a 'family crest' a few years back, it was the only flower i wanted to incorporate because we had a big bush of hibiscus behind our house when i was growing up. and the flowers were this colour and deep red. why are you looking for a new camera when this one is doing a great job still? this shot is fantastic.
